A Note from the Creator
I became a theatre artist because the ability to tell a story though the body freed me to communicate in a way that reading and writing never could. And I became an educator because I wanted to help others find their voice, their path to expression too. The seed for this show started in 2004, when I became obsessed with the stop sign. At first I couldn’t understand why it resonated with me so strongly, but as I began to embrace and own my dyslexia I started to see the connection and the need for the show. My aim is that you’ll catch a glimpse of seeing the world through dyslexic eyes. And I’m thankful to
work with such a wonderful team to help me bring this “self-portrait in
disorientation” to fruition.
